After a very gentle overnight trip under engine we arrived in Hakahau Bay at around 8 o'clock this morning. It was a beautiful night with a full moon and loads of stars.
After our time in Hana Moe Noa Bay we went for a couple of days back to Atuona on Hiva Oa to get some petrol, diesel, water and a few other provisions. We then went back to Hana Moe Noa Bay as it was such a wonderful place. We had a big manta ray swimming around the boat. Yesterday we motored to Hanamenu Bay on the north coast of Hiva Oa. This bay is like the Grand Canyon. We collected some fruit there and left just after dark.
Ua Pou is an amazing island with rock spires of more than 4000 ft high. We explored the village and intend to stay here a few days.
From here we will go to Nuku Hiva, which we can see in the distance.
