We are back in the big bay behind Nisos Petalis to have a few more days of maintenance. It is a big bay with lots of space so we do not disturb other boats with power tool noises (unless of
course they choose to anchor too close to us).
Since we left Lefkas marina we have spent 5 days in one of the lovely bays at Meganisi Island; apart from the wasps (Duncan got stung in the mouth; he was very lucky) and some days far too many boats, it was just as we remembered.
From there we motored to Mitikai to get some provisions, but there was no space for us in the small harbour; we anchored in Port Leone instead. Again a lovely spot but far too many aggressive wasps; Duncan got stung on his arm. This was quiet painful for several days.
We ended up in Astakos for our provisioning; this is a lovely real Greek town. We managed to buy all we needed, had a nice meal onshore and even had free electricity and water. It was so hot during the night that we ended up using the airconditioner.
We will slowly make our way back to Lefkas from here.
