We are back in Pangkor marina. It was an overnight trip from Port Dickson to get here. There was wind but unfortunately again "on the nose". So it was slow, bumpy progress. A few hours out of the marina the engine stopped... dirty diesel, all the filters were blocked! It took Duncan two hours to change filters and get us going again, by which time the wind had died. This was mainly due to our miscalculations of how much diesel was in the tank. We want to clean out the tank while out of the water so we ran it a bit too low. But we got here in time. Although the marina was full with rally boats, they had kept us a place. (We had made a reservation and we are going to be here for more than six months).
We took all the sails and lines off and washed them, hard work in this heat. Today we were lifted out and are now sitting on the lift still, until tomorrow when they move us to our place and prop us up. We then do the final work to get her ready for 6 months rest. Duncan will also take the gear box out to send it to Singapore to be rebuild.
All fun and games. We fly from Singapore to Auckland on the 5th Dec.
