We are now anchored off the Kuala Belait boatclub, where we met 40 years ago. It was amazing to bring our own boat up the Belait river. The boat club looks very much the same as it was, although Kuala Belait has grown beyond recognition. It looks very clean and modern.
We had a great day today visiting the Gurkha Battalion; we were very well looked after by the Gurkha Major Dammar. It was wonderful to be taken down memory lane. For Tim and Maggie it was a great experience as well.
We also stopped at Panaga School, where I used to work. That is now very big.
Tomorrow we'll go to G9, where I used to live and have a walk around Seria, maybe even have a game of golf at the Panaga Club.
