We have arrived safely in Singapore. After our nights rest in the anchorage there was no more wind so Kind of Blue was towed by Revelation. This went well until the engine of Revelation started having problems: they had a fouled propeller, so after that was cleared we carried on. We a tremendous thunderstorm on the way which came with lots of rain. This meant very poor visibility. But we got to the next anchorage before dark. The ext day, yesterday, was the tricky one. Again we went up front as scouts and do the navigation, Revelation towed Kind of Blue and two other boats formed the flanks. This way we motored through the heavy boat traffic around Singapore. It took us 7 hrs to get to the marina; we managed to cross the busy shipping lanes without trouble. The marina was brilliant, the two boats tied up along side each other and came into the double berth like that. It worked well. So we were all very relieved and had a few drinks and a nice meal together in the restaurant, after a swim in the pool and the Jacuzzi. Raffles Marina is a lovely place.
Today we took the train into town and visited Little India; we went to the Dewali market and an Indian temple. We are impressed with Singapore, very clean and efficient.
We will be here for a few days to sort out were we will leave Sea Topaz.
