It was a very grey and wet day going through the rest of the Hinchinbrook Channel. We arrived at Dunk Island in good time. We took the dinghy ashore and had a look around. The island and the resort were very badly damaged during Cyclone Yassi. The tidal surge pushed nearly half a meter of sand into the buildings and filled the pool. The wind damaged building and trees. They have started clearing up and hope to start business again in April.
We had an excellent sail this morning to Mourilyan Harbour. We hope for more of the same tomorrow.
