En-route from Annapolis, suddenly our Port Engine refused to start, and once in West Palm Beach Nicholas diagnosed and found our Starter Motor had packed up. So we had to order a new one, and stay in the States until that arrived and was fitted.

We managed to arrange to receive packages at a Amazon Hub, a 1.5 mile walk/bike ride from the WPB Public Dinghy Dock, and then later also at the Palm Beach Sailing Club, whose jetty was very close to where we were anchored.

We spent 3 weeks in WPB. We hired a vehicle and did our Major Stock-up for 8 months at Costco, Gordons Food Supply, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, and a few other stores. We ordered our last minute online supplies from Amazon, and waited for the new Starter Motor.

I am grateful to have finally gotten my desired birthday gift (from June), a new iPhone and dinghied to a ‘dinghy dock’ which I found only to be a beach,

And then cycled to the Gardens Mall to collect my new treasure, with appointment, socially distanced with masks....(Thank you Nicholas)

Ready at last, we started to process of going to the Bahamas by getting Covid RT-PCR tests done, and applying for our Bahama Health Visas. This done, we sailed south to Miami on a good easterly wind.

Arriving in Miami at midnight, anchoring at Key Biscayne
