We stopped at Ottawa, at the confluence of the Illinois and Fox Rivers, at the City Courtesy Dock for transient yachts as it is 110’ long and hence first time on this adventure we are able to come alongside. Water was available, at a farm type tap a long way away from the dock, and so we bought another hose to connect to Meshugga’s hose pipes. I gave the decks and teak a good scrubbing with the high pressure machine. Electricity was available at 110V, - and hence not usable by us as we are cabled for 220V.

We stayed for a few days as Ottawa was having it’s ‘2 Rivers Wine Festival’, a couple of 100 meters away from our dock, and so we enjoyed good Jazz, Wine and Beer tasting and Maine Lobster.
