It was decided that our group of Cruisers should go chop the path which crosses Little Ragged Island, as Karen and Duane had walked it reporting that it was totally overgrown.

A party of 10 Cruisers set our in our dinghies to Coco Bay.

The men went in the front bushwhacking the path with machetes and the women follow up cutting back smaller branches.

The first section went over the sand dune

Then it was a walk around a dried section of a pan

The rest was island scrub and trees.

The path was widened from impassable to about 3 feet wide

Duane was at the front with a machete, this is across the island on the west side. We scoured the beach for netting and items to mark the trail especially the area around the pan

The bushwhacking took 3 hours and the walk back through the path was a pleasure, and the path well marked especially along the difficult sections.

Thanks Karen and Duane for the lift
