St Pierre is dominated by Mt Pelee, which erupted spectacularly in 1910, killing all 30 000 residents except 2 people.

Another Saturday market to buy our week supply of fresh vegetables, salad and fruits

The town of St Pierre is lovely with some beautiful old (100 year) buildings - all rebuilt after the volcanic eruption of 1910
Quiet streets before stores open at 10.30am
Black volcanic sand beaches
Beautiful Cathedral in the centre of town, sound bells every hour
As usual waiting for me ......
Some old buildings ...
Wall art
Craft markets with lots of straw products from Haiti
Jetty in the background which the charter boats use, and dinghies tie up closer inshore
