What a busy month since I last blogged…….
We’ve been in the BVI’s, British Virgin Islands with the odd foray across to St John and St Thomas, USVI’s, United States Virgin Islands.
Our BIG news is that we’ve bought a new boat - which is what has kept us so busy.
What with viewing, contracts and not to mention the HUGE task of moving onto our new boat.
We anchored and rafted the two boats together in a quiet bay and spent two weeks transferring items across between the boats.
Meshugga is now safely tucked into Manuel Reef Marina, Tortola in the BVI’s and For Sale, and we might already have a buyer so fingers crossed on that one.
Our new boat is a Lagoon 62, and we’ve also called her Meshugga, as that’s our home name.
(Old Meshugga has a contract clause that the new buyer has to change her name).
We are excited and still busy packing lockers, and organizing life aboard our new home, anchored in Long Bay, Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas, USVI.
A nice weather window has started and we are leaving tomorrow, Sunday for Bermuda. We should have a beam reach all the way there, and take about 5 days.
We have not yet installed our TracPhone, so will not have Comms whilst we sail, however once in Bermuda we’ll pick up a local Simm Card and I’ll Blog that we’ve arrived safely.
