These are the first views we had of the Rio Paraiba and Cabedelo, Brazil
when we arrived on the 18th Feb 2014. It is a hot and steamy place with 12 hours
of daylight and 12 hours of darkness (duh). It gets light about 5.30am and the
next 2 hours are lovely and cool and calm. Thereafter, even the slightest
movement makes you feel too hot, too sticky and just a little grumpy. But
everyone is friendly and willing to help.
![]() ![]() ![]() It is amazing that nearly three weeks later we are still here. So apologies
about delays in blogs but we have had a difficult time getting treatment for
Stephen’s bad back. Our lack of Portuguese has been a real drawback here as very
few people speak English. But we are now in the happy situation of having a
departure date in a few days and although Stephen’s back is still giving him
problems, they are manageable. |
