We are here - at last. Twenty-four days and 4 hours after leaving Galapagos, we arrives in Hiva Oa, Marquesas this morning. WE have travelled 3043 Nmiles, through indifferent, lacklustre windand rain, and now we are at anchor (fore and stern) in Atuona. And the first thing we did was have a cup of tea!
The island looks lush, and has steep slopes and mountains rising to over 3000 Ft. Houses on stilts, and slow 4WDs as roads, I guess, are closer to tracks. The bay already has 12 yachts anchored in it and more are expected over the next few days. It will make it very crowded and we may have to move to an alternative location.

More soon after we have explored,

Best wishes from us to you.
