We are still anchored in Fannie Bay in Darwin and have been busy which is
why no blog entries.
Here is a quick look at some of the things we have seen. Went to Crocodylus
Park in Darwin and saw a lot of Crocs. They breed them there are it was alarming
to be so close to them even if they were all in cages. We watched a keeper go
into one pen with a minder who whacked the hugest croc there over the head with
a stick while the the keeper did some cleaning!! More about crocs later.
They have a selection of other animals there including the Cassowary who is
quite an aggressive bird!! This female was kept separate from the male at
feeding time in case she ate the wrong thing!!
There were also monkeys, camels, lizards, and lions. The lions were very
laid back.
In fact all the animals looked contented which is great if they have to be
in a sanctuary.
