Great progress in very good winds overnight after a frustrating day yesterday. Have now rounded the corner of South America at Cabo Calcanhar, and we’ve found our current!
Cracking along at a SOG (speed over ground - boatspeed through the water plus effect of current, in this case very favourable) of 9.5kts.
And it looks as if we may see the sun today, after more than three solid days of 100% cloud cover day and night.
DTG 2125nm - now a straight run to the Caribbean - but we have to cross the Doldrums/ITCZ, sitting about E/W at 02S.
