Sadly our computer problems persist, preventing any
photos on the Blog. The computer geeks have had one unsuccessful go at fixing
it, so next week it's coming off the boat again to spend some time in the lab
being tested and tweaked. Hopefully the glitch will get resolved. No such luck
with our back-up external hard drive though. It took a flier during a
particularly boisterous period at sea, hurling itself against the door of the
cupboard where it was stored with such energy that the door burst open and the
hard drive flew some metres through the air until it met a hard object -
luckily not a passing human. Anyway, it's been declared dead by those very nice
people at 'Call a Geek' and so will have to be replaced.
Investigating going with the Cloud this time.
Off walking the Abel Tasman Coast Track next week
for five days - one of New Zealand's famous Great Walks. Only 50km so not long,
but beautiful. And with Alison who has a brand new rucsac for the
purpose!
