The other half of the crew of the VS has fallen in love with wombats, Vombatus ursinus.

Here she is with one found minding its own business right by the roadside in broad daylight. They’re supposed to be nocturnal but now the Tasmanian Tiger is extinct have no predators so perhaps they’re getting braver – this one just couldn’t care less:

 

 

 

Cute. Less cute were the leeches in the wet grass which had to be hurriedly removed.
