Good progress with steady wind day & night -
157 nm run in the last 24 hours. The Pacific continues to live up to its name.
Utterly different from the Atlantic: green not blue, long low swell not waves,
clear skies rather than clouds, and no squalls. Now less than 400 nm to go:
we'll probably arrive at the Galapagos on Wednesday, give or take a day or
so.
Have lost track of the time differences -
Galapagos is normally UTC -6 (ie., 6 hours behind UTC/Greenwich) but summer time
started in the UK today, putting us 7 hours behind unless Ecuador also runs
summer time, and if so, when - which we don't know. We'll have to wait and
see.
