There are about 60 South African fur seals living in our marina (actually they are technically sealions). They hunt by night, so by day it is important to relax: As you can see, they take it seriously. We particularly like the use of the fenders as pillows. Groups of ten-fifteen are not unusual, and trips to the toilet along the gangways require use of a broom to get them out of the way - you do not want to get anywhere near their teeth. And they stink!!!!!!, but they’re lovely. |
