Good pogress to report. 165nm in the 24 hours to
0600 hrs local. Now less than 500 miles to go, and we'll pass the halfway point
late afternoon today if the wind holds. And we've left the Tropics, having
passed 22.5 degrees north yesterday. All well - nothing new has broken yet, but
there's plenty of time left. Autopilot will require workshop to fix (there sems
not to be one in Bermuda) so we will be handsteering for a while. Watermaker
also requires new parts - I think the osmotic membranes are defective (16 years
old and well past their prime). Ah well, it's only money (or it would be, if we
were somewhere where we could actually buy the
parts).
