A concert in the vines

Just for a change and in support of a good cause we
went to an outdoor concert on Saturday, the 'Concert in the Vines', held in aid
of the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust - just like in the UK this essential
service (the helicopter was supposed to be present, but was called away on a
successful rescue) shamefully depends upon public donations. The concert was
held in a local vinyard from 1500-2100hrs because everyone in NZ likes to
get home to bed good and early, and was a huge success. Perhaps the blazing
sunshine helped, but numbers had doubled from last year to well over 700 and at
$30 per ticket that's quite a boost to the helicopter. Well worth going, and
thoroughly recommended to anyone reading this who can go next year -
Simon?
Here is one of the best acts amongst a really
eclectic list, young tenor Anthony Utama from Auckland who really was
extremely good. You can hear him sing if you go onto his website.

and wet. Ugh.
