Well, not much progress so far. We got permission from French Customs to stop at Chesterfield Reef which is uninhabited French territory about 400nm NW of Noumea, and set off. Weather absolutely dreadful so we anchored for the night in the NC lagoon in strong cold winds and driving rain; just like the Irish Sea in November. Today is a bit better, so we have left the lagoon and are now offshore heading in the right direction but rolling a lot downwind in a swell with winds rather lighter than we like. ETA Chesterfield about Sat/Sun.
