Well, the good news is that we think we've got rid
of our rat. We're not entirely sure because we didn't catch it and we haven't
found the body despite tearing the boat to pieces, but we think it probably had
such a hard time with the glue traps & the poison that it just jumped ship
some time when the boat was insecure. Whatever, we have seen no sign of it for
two weeks now.
It actually did minimal damage so we were very
lucky, and we have cleaned some deep recesses that have not seen the light of
day for years so its time on board has carried some benefits with it. But on the
whole it was a horrible experience that we hope never to repeat.
Ugh.
