So, the good ship Vulcan Spirit has made it to Sydney, safe & sound. Here we are approaching the iconic bridge and opera house:

 

 

The sail from Brisbane, 450nm, took three days as planned – but the whole trip took nearly a week due to the necessity of sheltering from the weather for several days in the Broken Bay/Pittwater area. We had gale force winds, driving rain, huge thunderstorms and biting cold. The Pittwater area is a series of beautiful wooded rias reminiscent of the fiords of Scotland’s west coast – complete with authentic Scottish weather just for us.

Now the boat maintenance starts again in earnest. Again.
