We are a long way from home, and sometimes a little
thing brings that fact home. Today it was an article in the local trilingual
(English, French & Bislama) daily paper 'The Vanuatu Independent' (in which
I also discovered that the French spell the word 'Independant'; Much more
logical). Here it is:
Passengers on a recent flight from Port Vila to
Santo watched in amazement as a female passenger breast fed a
piglet. (The reporter) had heard of this practice in some regions
of Vanuatu but thought it no longer happened and was surprised to hear about
this case.
