Fair progress in truly horrible conditions. Storm jib and tiny piece of mainsail, in huge seas and gale force winds - on the nose of course. Boat heeled over to a very awkward angle making movements slow and careful, like a sloth in a forest. Alison ill again.
Opua now about 70nm south of us to windward. Should get in before midnight tonight (lunchtime in the UK), with luck.
Seabirds about again - seen our first Cape Petrel with a beautiful bicolour upper body in black and white.
