Having spent far too long in the BVIs the time came to set off again, northwards towards Bermuda again - the third visit by VS.
Here we are entering St George's, a really very nice place.

Here is the parish church, the oldest Anglican Church in the world outside the UK with a quite fascinating graveyard. This is the white part, in the eastern side. Black people had a separate plot further to the west so that the sun rose on the dead Europeans first. Incredible but true.

A typical scene on a very beautiful but crowded island

This is the Royal Naval Dockyard's Superintendent's house, now a museum. The RN Moved here to set up a base when the American colonies were lost, and it remained an important dockyard right up until after WW2. The whole dockyard is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and deservedly so.

Alison enjoys a last swim in hot water. Because of the Gulf Stream Bermuda has the world's most northerly coral reefs.

Bermuda's endemic national flower, interestingly a sisyrinchium, S. Bermudiana:

Time to split up with old friends. This is fellow circumnavigator 'Superted' leaving Bermuda with us. They are en route to the Azores and then the UK; we are heading northwest for Newport RI in the USA.
