Have lost track of the time; think it's day eleven
counting on fingers. every day the same out here. Now running down towards
Madeira with just about 100nm to go. Wind strong again, but pushing us more or
less in the right direction, but rolling dreadfully, exacerbated by inability to
set the main. Hopefully we will have a less event-filled day than yesterday.
Have eventually worked out (brain may have turned to mush) that because the moon
circles the earth every 29.5 days it will rise a bit less than 50 minutes later
each day (24x60/29.5). And it does. But I still don't understand why it rises on
a different bearing each night. More thinking required.
A helpful correspondent has pointed out that
I managed to place our boat somewhere in Morocco due to a typographical
error in a previous Blog entry a couple of days ago. Hopefully all has now
become clear.
