Here is the marina (VS's mast just visible in the extreme right) looking out to the naval harbour. Quite why SA needs this big navy is not clear to me when a lot of the population have no water nor electricity. VS is quite close to the big ships, where life onboard seems to be governed by a never ending series of whistles on the bosuns' calls.
And here is the High Street, where an Edward VII post box is still in use. The flag is flying at the British hotel:
