Panama City has a wild park, contiguous with the
surrounding forest. It's full of wildlife. For instance, here is a nine-banded
armadillo lying on his back and getting stuck into a dead log full of lovely
tasty ants.
 He's about the size of a cat, and you can see why
he's the nine-banded type. After a while he stuck his head up; you can see his
scaly face, soft pink muscular nose ideal for rooting around in rotting logs,
and his large ears - but despite these he seemed not to hear us at all and spent
ten minutes or so destroying the log with all four feet and hoovering up the
ants, then bustled off about his business.
