My week estimate to recover from
shingles turned out to be a tad optimistic! Two weeks later and we hope to set
sail tomorrow towards St Lucia.
The shingles spread to my nose and
with the possibility of an eye injury, I consulted an ophthalmologist who put me
on a 2 week course of antivirals.
I was fairly useless for the first 10
days, leaving the hard work to Chris but things have improved the last couple of
days and we were able to load the new anchor chain. The forecast to head north
is the predictable easterly 10-15 knots so it will be a bit of a bash to St
Lucia which should take us 3 days. chrissie flies home on the 6th and I will be
joined by Mike Birch for 3 weeks (hopefully)
