Eowyn Progress - Bristol Rose Update
Éowyn is underway 300
miles from the Galapagos in position 1:44.050N 85:18.731W
We have been making slow but steady progress towards the Galapagos trying to minimise the motoring and preserve fuel. We are presently in a 10 knot breeze with very calm seas.
John caught a Mahi Mahi (Dorado) yesterday which will provide 3 days food and save our canned rations. The investment in extra fishing tackle is beginning to pay dividends. Mike seems to have become the ships butcher as he has fileted the last 3 fish. Fish pie tonight!
We expect to arrive in Galapagos on 21st February.
We have been able to speak with Robert and Trish on Bristol Rose. They have a temporary repair only and are making their way under sail back to Panama. They will need to get the boat hauled to sort out a problem with the prop shaft, Maxprop and autopilot.

craft and they are being taken to a port with repair facilities, although
because of the language barrier, they are not sure exactly
where! Hopefully
the repairs will be completed rapidly and they will join us in the Galapagos as
