Éowyn is underway from Recife Brazil to Grenada in position 04:52.089N 049:13.280W

Michael, Basia & Anna in the Fuel Transfer

After the situation on Basia was stabilised, we were treated to appalling conditions on the first night. Basia is being escorted by ourselves and Tucannon and we had to endure heavy rain, squalls and very poor visibility.

Since then matters have improved and morale on Basia is really very good in the circumstances.

It lifted everyone's hearts this morning to see Jeannnius and Ariane in the cordon around Basia

The sea conditions were not ideal but between 1100 and 1200 some 245 litres of fuel were successfully transferred to Basia. Moe & Bev from Tucannon & our Mike did a great job. Basia's Michael is confident of his fuel estimate and we did transfer 45 litres more than expected. In extremis, we have a way to get more diesel from Eowyn's upper tank.

We are now all under way again towards Grenada. The wind and current have generally helped apart from the occasional squall and you probably see from the trackers that we are averaging about 6 knots VMG

All of the fleet ahead of us have positive current and on this basis we expect to arrive Grenada between pm on the 25th and evening on the 26th.

Ariane must pull ahead as they are concerned about their leaking stern seal and they will be hauled at Grenada Marine. Jeannius will stay with us for at least another 2 days.
