 Le Phare Bleu
After mooring one night in Marigot
Bay St Lucia, we set sail in a 25 knot Easterly breeze and made a full 85 miles
to anchor in Canouan.
 To our memory, this is the first time
ever that we bypassed Bequia, but the mission was to get to Grenada as soon as
possible. The next day we made it to Prickly Bay Grenada in time to avoid
overtime fees at Customs. Next to us, Chris & Lynn were about to haul out
and kindly offered use of their mooring. Sadly, we also heard that Graham
Reynolds on Essex Girl, a fixture in this bay, was swallowing the anchor and
would not be back.
Here in Prickly Bay, we truly relaxed
for the first time in a couple of weeks although Chris still has the joint pain
associated with Chikungunya, particularly at night. Although we have made many
island tours, we took another with Cutty and as always there were new sights to
see as well as the old favourites.
We have allowed an extra day for the
layup preparations which began last Thursday in Le Phare Bleu Marina. Also, as I
don't have quite as much help as usual from Chris, Palm Tree Marine will help me
replace the rudder shaft seals next Tuesday. Tomorrow we motor to Grenada Marine
for haulout, but we will still be in LPB, this time in an
apartment
