Crew Space - Australia to South Africa

Éowyn is underway from the Marquesas to Manihi Tuomotos in position 10:16.454S 141:29.725W
 

I had hoped to complete our circumnavigation without crew changes. Unfortunately John is not now able to continue past Australia, leaving Eowyn in Australia at the end of July.

 

Bob Glassman from Connecticut will join Mike & I in Cape Town and will sail the long Atlantic leg via St Helena, Brazil & Grenada.

 

We therefore have a space for one crew member from Australia to Cape Town.

 

The itinerary for this section is


Approximately 23 July - Arrive Mackay, QLD, Australia

Cruise inside Great Barrier Reef to Thursday Island (approx. 750 miles)
Thursday Island rendezvous Wed 18 Aug
Thursday Island - Darwin 830 miles. Depart Thu 19 Aug.
Darwin - Bali 990 miles. Depart Wed 1 Sept.
Bali - Cocos 1110 miles. Depart Mon 13 Sept
Cocos - Mauritius 2350 miles. Depart Sun 26 Sept
Mauritius - Reunion 130 miles. Depart Sat 23 Oct
Reunion - Richards Bay 1370 miles Depart Sat 30 Oct
Cruise independently to Cape Town (approx. 720 miles)

This space would only be available to a person already known to Mike or I.

You could join Eowyn any time after 23rd July until the end of August. We then expect to get to Cape Town at the end November, when Mike and I will return home until the 1st January.
