Not Quite the Christmas we Planned

Eowyn

Éowyn is still alongside in Le Phare Bleu Marina, Grenada in position  12:00.203N 61:43.436W

Out plans are now changed as Chris's back injury has prevented her from getting onboard Eowyn until today. She ha received several treatments from Chiropractor, Gary Adams and is now consulting Sally Dawson for acupuncture at the Calabash Hotel Spa.

Eowyn now has a smart new bimini from Dave Royce and most fitting out work is complete. A few things have stopped working as happens on any yacht - the main frustration of cruising here! Thanks to the good offices of Dick & Irene Craig, I completed the purchase of a second hand Parasailor from an Australian in St Lucia. Dick has the sail onboard Tucanon and hopefully we can rendezvous with them in Antigua to collect it. We have also contact with other WARC friends as Jutta and Jochem Dohne are still in Grenada. They hosted us to sundowners last night and after we met Gerry Bryant with crew Silke & Gloria who just arrived from Tenerife on Rival 41 Scipio. Gloria will bunk down on Eowyn for a few days as she waits for her return flight.

We have been staying in a smart bungalow at Le Phare Bleu which is very comfortable but has hit our budget somewhat. We hope to move on to Eowyn in a couple of days but will stay alongside the dock for another week before Chris can try the dinghy. Hopefully we will get to Antigua for New Year - time will tell.

When Chris goes for acupuncture, I take the opportunity to dive with Scubatech. We had some great dives, notably the King Mitch and San Juan. Here is a link to Carsten's video of our King Mitch dive http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr-filknYps
