St Helena to Salvador - Day 6
Éowyn is underway to
Salvador in position 15:15.879S

We are still making our way quite slowly in the light winds.. We need the spinnaker to make any good progress. I think it is better to drop it at night though as we are fairly tired and don't really get much sleep with it up. This means we can average 6.5 knots in the day, but only 5 at night. Tzigane is 20 miles behind us and their autopilot has packed up so they are hand steering. Fortunately they have their daughter and husband onboard. The Generals are doing really well, flying their Parasailor night and day. The wind is due to go lighter still so I expect to be motoring around Saturday.
On the domestic front, Burns Night went well with Bob producing a haggis feast with a wee dram of Jura to go with it. Last nights steak was a bit chewy though! I am threatening to bake a cake today. |
