Halfway to Bali

Éowyn is sailing
westwards from Darwin to Bali in
position 10:51.000S 120:47.526E
As predicted, wind conditions
have been light, so a mixture of spinnaker, genoa and engine has been the order
of the day.
Our progress has been at an
average of 5.8 knots and we expect to arrive at dawn on 8th
September.
Andrei, having overcome the
jet lag has settled in well. Tonight he was treated to his first sample of
Haggis for dinner.
We now have no yachts within
VHF range so we rely on email and the twice daily SSB net for
contact.
One of our service batteries
failed yesterday and has been replaced by the spare. I need to find replacements
for the others, but that will probably have to wait until
Mauritius.
