This update is sent from Prickly Bay, Grenada  in position 12:00.62N 61:45.62W.

Sorry about the long delay in updating.  I have been knocked low by a bug and have felt a bit lazy!!!

After the last update, Steve and Jacqui caught their respective planes - no delays this time - and got back to Scotland safely. They are now house hunting in Perth and J is starting her final placement for her nursing degree - nearly there!!!

We sailed back to Grenada leaving about 2300 on Monday 28th April. The winds were NE force 4/5 - ideal for us. We had a fast and easy passage back and were anchored in Prickly Bay by noon the next day. Having quickly cleared Customs and Immigration, we visited Scubatech to learn they were doing some exploratory dives on the undived Reindeer Shallows to the West of Grenada. We joined them the next day and began a series of dives which included all the Atlantic wrecks and the "Bianca C" and the "Shakkum"on the Caribbean side. We managed to see nurse sharks but missed the eagle rays on the "Hema 1"

Unfortunately I got my first bout of "lurgy" which I put down to sunstroke, so I was laid low for a few days.

I also managed to carry out some of the minor works which will be needed for our Pacific adventure including an extra 30 metres of anchor chain. By 2 strokes of luck I manages to purchase 3 of the 5 charts I need for the Pacific, one through the Grenada cruiser's net and the another through the OCC website.

Inga from "Homeward Bound" is a great asset to the Grenada cruiser's net, organising Island Tours and other visits. We took the opportunity to go on a turtle watch at the North if Grenada. This is the nesting season for giant leatherback turtles who return from thousands of miles away to lay their eggs on the same beach where they themselves were hatched - how do they do that!!! This was a very exciting experience as we saw 2 turtles nest building and laying eggs. These are not the usual small turtles we see diving and they can be in excess of 1 tonne in weight

where they Last week we received a telephone call form Jane Royce - after a delay of 8 months, our carpet had finally arrived. We upped anchor and sailed to "Le Phare Bleu" marina to take in our old carpet and also to take the opportunity to equalise batteries, remove sails, not to mention a rather splendid meal in the light ship restaurant

We returned to Prickly Bay on Friday and Chris is doing a couple of further dives whilst I carry out a few maintenance tasks which need peace and quiet!!

At the end of next week, we start the lay-up procedure in earnest and haul out on 26th at St David's
