Eowyn

Éowyn is now at anchor in Prickly bay, Grenada

We motored round on Thursday, after Turbulence said their man could attend to our rigging issues on Friday. Wayne duly arrived and displayed a level of great competence rarely seen in these waters.

Furthermore, Nicholas, the manager of Budget Marine baled me out with the loan of an engine start battery as there were none in stock. 10 out of 10 for service Nicholas. We will visit him on Monday with the customary bribe of Lindor chocolate!

The matter had been made worse as our house batteries are almost kaput and we must get to Martinique to replace them as they are not available here.

With Jochen & Sabine Lenz and a number of other German visitors we went to a fantastic floating concert organised as usual by the energetic Dieter from Le Phare Bleu. He puts so much into the Island and makes up for the rest of us! There were 4 excellent bands and we danced the night away before enjoying a hairy local bus ride back to Eowyn at midnight.

We must head North when the wind backs on Thursday but in in the meantime we have dinners arranged with Tim & Val Arnold and Mike & Carol Day. we also hope to squeeze in another few beers with Jochen and Sabine
