                | This update is sent from Prickly
Bay Grenada in position 12:00.05N 61:45.61W. This trip started with a high!
Sitting on the Virgin Atlantic 747 at Gatwick, we were approached by a member of
ground staff who informed us we had been upgraded to "Upper Class" We duly
trotted downstairs and were greeted by indulgence indulgence indulgence.
Take-off was somewhat bizarre as you are not seated facing forward, rather at 45
degrees to the front and the area is very high, almost Cathedral
like. For me however, the best part was
converting my "pod" to a bed and sleeping well for several hours! Reality took over in Grenada because,
as usual, we had set ourselves an almost impossible timetable to launch the next
day. I think the rest on the plane must have helped because we easily completed
our preparation work in time for the 1430 launch deadline. Motoring to Prickly Bay, we have
busied ourselves commissioning a new outboard and installing a solar panel. On
Tuesday or Wednesday, we sail overnight to Tobago in time to pick up Jacqui
& Steve on Thursday. The wind and sea has been a little heavy but it is due
to moderate tomorrow. One item I must comment on is the
Grenada bus service. It must be the most efficient in the world! The vehicles
are 16 or 20 seater minibuses with a driver and a "helper" They ply a route but
will pickup and drop at your convenience and will divert to a nearby destination
on request - more like a shared taxi. Fares are 50p per rides and the vehicles
which are privately owned are clean and well maintained - just like the
