Bob Crosses the Line - Asleep!
Eowyn
Tue 15 Mar 2011 11:02
Éowyn is underway from
Recife Brazil to Grenada in
position 00:23.264S 041:15.526W
Yesterday was miserable, rain
all day and lots of unkind wind shifts. At last, at 10 pm, we found the NE trade
winds and took off at a good speed and course. If this holds we could get to
Grenada on the 25th, a day early.
We crossed the Equator at 1
am, Bob's first time. He was asleep so I fed the god on his behalf and so far
since he has been kind to us.
Unfortunately the fresh fruit
& veg we bought in Recife has not lasted so apart from some oranges and the
ever present cabbage, we are resorting to cans. The sausage is typical Brasilian
- too salty, so that sits in the refridgerator unused. Last night Bob something
he described as a salad - not bad in view of the lack of available
ingredients.
