This update is sent from Prickly
Bay Grenada.
As we are still on the backup laptop,
all photos are from stock or downloaded from the internet.
Last Monday we took a full day tour
of the Island. Although we have done this many times before, Taxi driver Cutty
gave us much new information particularly with a perspective on the flora and
fauna of Grenada
The evening was time to celebrate the
New Year and we were invited aboard "Reberth" where we joined Ian and Joy with
Bob, and Kathy from "Bon Accord" and Chris and Birgitta from "Windward Star" I
quickly discovered I had once stayed at the hotel they run in Henan,
Sweden
Birgitta at The Henan
Hotel
We each prepared part of the meal -
our share was a shrimp starter and 2 home baked loaves. We had a great time and
managed to stay awake until midnight and enjoy the many firework displays near
Prickly Bay.
On Wednesday Jacqui flew LIAT to St
Lucia to stay at the Auberge Seraphine, the next day enjoying her birthday treat
of a helicopter flight to Hewonarra airport. This was the start of a long return
journey home to Scotland, but she was delighted and surprised when Steve was
there at Manchester to meet her!
On Wednesday we started the first of
our 10 dives with Scubatech on the "Bianca C", the biggest wreck in the
Caribbean
The "Bianca C" burns in
1961
We plan to haul next Tuesday and
after 2 days working on Eowyn will return to the UK on Thursday. We will be back
on April 3 to cruise South to Tobago, Trinidad and Venezuela.
