Éowyn is afloat in Le Phare Bleu Marina, Grenada in position  12:00.203N 61:43.436W

We returned to Grenada on Thursday 1st December staying a few nights at La Sagesse Nature Resort as usual.

The next day we went to Grenada Marine to discover total chaos in the boatyard. 2 key staff had left and as far as we could see no work had been done on our boat or the boats of friends also based there! There was major frustration all round. We cancelled the non urgent work (some of which had been paid for!) and began our own preparations for launching.

All was well until Saturday when Chris awoke unable to move with severe back pain. I continued working to get ready and as a couple of days rest did not help, Chris saw chiropractor Dr Gary Adams on Monday to begin a course of treatment. she was not able to get on board Eowyn at all.

In the meantime, I had received an email from Andre Buttu alerting me to a major recall from mast manufacturer Selden. After many exchanges we have to get to Antigua to have the offending part replaced, possibly involving the mast down. If anyone reading this has a Selden mast, here is the link to research the problem http://www.seldenmast.com/frameset.cfm?id=6826

We finally were launched on Tuesday and I brought Eowyn to Le Phare Bleu, arriving at dusk. Chris came round by road but even at an alongside berth, she was unable to get onboard. we managed to rent a cottage at Le Phare Bleu and will stay there till she gets some mobility.

In the meantime, I continue with the chores, trying to remember my long forgotten single handed skills. a new bimini is currently being fitted by Dave Royce of The canvas shop based here at LPB.

we are hoping to sail north in the 3rd week of December, Chris's back permitting, to arrive in Bequia for Christmas and St Lucia for the New Year.
