St Helena to Salvador - Day 10 - Light Winds
Eowyn
Mon 31 Jan 2011 19:19
Éowyn is underway to
Salvador in position 14:23.085S
027:14.760W
Not much to report today. Progress has been very slow. The last 2 days, we used the Asynnetric in the day but motored at night as we could not see the sail as it collapsed in the very light winds.
Menu creation has become more difficult as the fresh meat is finished. Last night was a chilli, tonight, franks, baked potato and beans. I baked a vanilla cake today with run soaked fruit to help our sugar intake.
We are close to Tzigane, about 3 - 10 miles. They are having to hand steer nut fortunately they have 2 extra crew to share the load. We will try to intercept them tomorrow to pass over some tea bags as they have run out.
