The light winds continued
until Wednesday meaning that we had quickly used over half of the available
fuel. Knowing there were some further light winds ahead, we have conserved fuel
by not using watermaker, breadmaker etc. Wednesday and Thursday saw good winds
but still a substantial current against us. We did not lose this until Thursday
afternoon, so lost a lot of distance to many other yachts in the fleet.
The weather on this leg has
been complicated but as usual the fleet shared any information between them.
