After
months of lay-up there is always a lot of work to do and this time was no
exception. We had flown in to be greeted at La Sagesse by Mike & Lynn and a
Thanksgiving dinner "that couldn't be beat"
On Friday morning afternoon, we
got the covers off and Chris started a 2 day mission of cleaning the deck
and coachroof. For the first time we got the guys at the boatyard to antifoul
the bottom and what a great job the did.
The guys in the boatyard had
polished the hull so by Monday night we were ready to splash. Unfortunately, we
discovered a problem with our headsail furling gear but the next day, Louis from
Turbulence Rigging fixed it in an hour and we were launched just after
lunch.
Ready to
Splash
We sailed to Le Phare Bleu Marina
to complete our work and be measured for our new bimini by Dave Royce of the
Canvas Shop. Val and Mike
joined us yesterday, the 5th December and after a short stay in Prickly Bay we
plan to head North to the Grenadines.
