This update is sent from Pigeon Island anchorage,  Rodney Bay, St Lucia in position 14:05.30N 60:57.68W

Well we did "Go Mexican" for Christmas day, but the food was a passable attempt at a turkey dinner - except I had lobster.

On the Tuesday we set off for St Lucia a day earlier than planned and encountered near perfect sailing conditions - Easterly Force 5 for much of the passage. "Nordlys" - Swan 47 and "Blue Heron" - HR43 showed us a clean pair of heels and were an hour before us to Pigeon Island, Rodney Bay. The next day we entered the newly reconstructed marina with a generosity in the dock layout that has to be seen to be believed!!

Regis Electronics had our alternator regulator and after the shock of the shipping fees and customs brokerage costs, it was duly installed.

New Year's Eve or as it is known here - Old Year's Night, was spent with the crews of our victors, "Nordlys" - and "Blue Heron" and we managed to stay awake not only for midnight, but for 1 am as well!!!

We are now off to Martinique on our passage northwards having said our goodbye's to Bob & Kathy on "Bon Accord" with a meal at the excellent new italian restaurant "Antonio" and then drinks on their yacht
