Éowyn is presently at
anchor at St Anne, Martinique
We have tried repeatedly to
get to like this Island but without success. Here, there is a pleasant enough
small town but the attractive buildings are down at heel from lack of
maintenance and French cuisine is confined to burger or grilled
chicken.
We came to Le Marin to resolve
a rigging problem and get an estimate for new standing rigging. The former was
diagnosed as a dodgy wire/rope halyard joint and the remedy was 500 euro worth
of dyneema halyard - oh well - that's boating!
On Friday we return to St
Lucia and will make our way slowly down to Grenada
After 2 weeks of illness, the
last 24 hours has been the first chance to really chill out - long may it
continue
