Another deserted beach. Motuora island is used as a Kiwi creche, 3mth old Kiwis are brought to this predator free island and then distributed to other locations at around 12 mths old, not all of them are recaptured and there is now a healthy population on the island. We were already to do a spot  of Kiwi spotting as dusk fell, when the wind picked up and we had to find another place to anchor for the night instead. . . .
